Gabby is from right here in the Lehigh Valley and attributes her mother for her love of fabric.

“I owe my love of fabric to my mother, who loved to sew…and love of all things repurposed to my father, who introduced me to the ‘one person’s trash is another’s treasure’ mindset at a very young age! I was destined to bring those together as Reinvented Threads, adding my love for the environment into the mix.

Blessed with a creative mind, my primary source of inspiration is today’s throw-away culture, and I hope to convey the message of social responsibility in my creations, which use found materials, those that might otherwise end up in landfills. Reinventing fabrics and textiles, rescued from thrift stores, yard and estate sales, I use an eclectic mix of colors and materials in my work. Found buttons, pins, broken jewelry, and words to inspire find their way onto these unique one-of-a-kind upcycled creations too.

Every item is made with love, and you can read of the origin of each bag on the short bio that is included with every one. The very nature of how the fabric and materials are found, means that everything is a one off, lovingly handcrafted, and as unique as the person who wears it!”
