Biography

Almosta Ranch Alpacas is a responsible breeder of llamas and French Angora rabbits based in Mohrsville, Pa. Established in 2003, originally with Huacaya Alpacas and 2 llamas, we now produce both llamas and angoras with a focus on fiber, temperament, conformation, and structural soundness. We are members of the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) and The Greater Appalachian Lama Association (GALA). We have downsized and are no longer breeding the alpacas, but there are a few fiber boys left. My focus now is utilizing the fiber from all of the animals on the farm. From raw wool, to rovings, yarns and finished products — all are available for purchase in the farm store. There is also a small spinners flock of sheep — some Finn Sheep and a Wensleydale/Leister Longwool cross.
