Skirted Fleece Mill
Contact: Liz ThumannBiography
Skirted Fleece Mill is located on Skirted Fleece Farm, a 40 acre fiber farm in northeastern Pennsylvania. The Farm was purchased in February 2010 and the first fiber animals, Tibetan yaks, were brought in soon after. They were later joined by California Variegated Mutant sheep, the most endangered American breed, and angora rabbits. As the Farm continued to grow, the need for a local processing mill became apparent. After several years of dreams, preparation and hard work, Skirted Fleece Mill opened its doors in 2013.
We are a small, family-run mill dedicated to providing quality processing services to farmers and artisans. We never pool fleeces; each customer will have their own fleeces returned to them. We understand the love and care you have put into your animals and we will give the same care into creating a product that you will love and we can be proud of.
