“The Sheepyshire started in 2012 as a side hobby running out of my father-in-law’s kitchen. I’ve been passionate about knitting for years and became interested in creating my own colors and couldn’t stop experimenting. After a few years of turning the stove in my kitchen various rainbow colors, my husband Mike set up a dye studio in the basement of our home. In February of 2021, Mike joined the business full-time and in June of the same year, my little side hustle became my full-time job. We both create new colorways, dye, pack, and ship our yarn from Northeast Pennsylvania where we live with our son Leon, two dogs, and two cats.”
